Environment: Rippon is a single day event so people like to make a day of it. Bring a chilli bin and rug for a picnic in front an impressive sound system and even better entertainment. There is plenty of Rippon wine flowing as well. If the sun is out it's a great day with beautiful views over Lake Wanaka, smiling people and music music. The after party has a lineup to keep you dancing or chilling out all night, not too heavy not too light. Those who enjoyed the rippon vine at the festival are less likely to make it till sunrise but camping at the after party site means you can always take a wee rest.
Other Info: Don't drive from wanaka, walk. Drinking in the sun takes it's toll so watch out!!! :-)
