The line-up is the best yet, the fun is mounting, the tents are getting aired out and the good times are on their way...Parachute 2010: one of the best gigs this summer. Two decades full of seriously good music. Two decades of seriously good artists who brought their message and music to our land. Two decades of seriously fun summer festivals that would become a staple on the Kiwi calendar each holiday season.

Facilities: Tenting onsite is the most common and fun way to experience Festival- it is covered in your ticket price. Special tenting sites are reserved for Supporters, families and large groups. There is a limited amount of powered sites available for campervans/caravan, at $150 to book for the entire weekend. Non-powered sites are also available to book for $25. Toilet and shower facilities are provided throughout the Mystery Creek grounds. Wheelchair friendly showers and toilets are also provided. The Parachute Village is packed with food and clothing stalls, and has facilities for cell phone charging. There's also massive cafe in the middle, which is the ideal spot to meet up with friends and make new ones. The Festival boasts a heap of amusement rides, a waterslide and high quality, safe programmes for kids and pre-teens. There is onsite medical team to help with any problems. And if you need to talk to someone about life, love or God, there's 'The Lounge'. Water stations are also located around site to re-hydrate and cool yourself down.

Environment: Held over Auckland anniversary weekend, the Parachute Festival features the heavyweights of Christian music across six stages. Over 100 local and international bands fill Hamilton's Mystery Creek Events Centre with everything from hardcore to hip hop, electronica to alt-country, and plenty in between. The drug and alcohol free four-day event offers a wide range of entertainment alongside the rock n' roll - including amusement rides, seminars- encouraging food for thought, water slide, skate park, and shopping. Since its inception in 1991, Parachute Festival has become an icon of the Kiwi summer. Drawing crowds of 25,000, it attracts mainstream interest but has stayed true to its focus - to connect people to Jesus through music. Parachute Festival is a Christian Festival and as such there are a few rules are in place. The basics are: keep drug and alcohol free (policed 24/7), don't tent with the opposite gender (unless you're married), and dress with modesty. Parachute Festival is a safe environment for families, and has plenty of space for the whole family to enjoy top-notch Christian artists and speakers. Festival has a reserved Family tenting area with noise restrictions in place from 11pm each night, for those who prefer some quiet.
