Circulation is one of Aotearoa's best-kept secrets: a music and circus festival hidden in lush native bush. This year people from all around New Zealand will be making the journey to Whare Flat, just 20 minutes drive inland of Dunedin, for a festival that they will never forget. Running for four days with a massive lineup of over 70 national and international circus instructors, performers, dj's and bands, Circulation is here to be soaked up by people young and old, tall and small. Workshops, live music, circus shows, outdoor parties, and amazing chefs that feed us for the four days, are all included in the ticket price- this is one festival you cannot afford to miss! During the day live music rolls over the hills while circus workshops are taught continuously, from juggling, fire performing, comedy and trapeze, to everything in between. If you've never tried circus before then this is your chance too! At night there's circus shows and parties under the stars. With live music playing well into the nights, renegade shows and a public event in town- Circus in Circles. We guarantee you tasty treats for your visual and auditory sensors the whole time! This is the perfect way to kick-start your summer, learn new skills, bounce to booming beats and enjoy the sunny outdoors.
Circulation Festival started in 2003 and is managed as a non-profit organisation where it is fundraised by local organizations, and Highly Flammable Performers through regular performances over the course of the year. "Through these performances we continue to contribute and create something that would otherwise not be able to happen. We create, share, and grow our creative collaborations to sustain our alternative endeavors and to raise awareness on particular issues".
