"Alien Nation is a party to be taken seriously. Especially if you are serious about having fun. Now in its sixth year, it has had time to develop its unique flavour. This is an organic party that makes no apologies for its feral styles - and nor should it. This party takes it back to the roots. The last one, which I attended, was a crotch-grabbing, nipple-tweaking, mind-meltdown of psychotropic proportions! When I mention this to the organiser, Warwick, he grins broadly, " I just put on a party that I would want to go to - it is a little bit sick."
The site of the last party was freshly carved out of the West Coast rainforest beside the mighty Buller River. The sandflies and wasps were enough to stop the Coalition forces in their tracks. But this was more than made up for by the incredible natural surrounds. The eye candy was a delight but not overblown. The lighting was down right minimal as the 15,000 Watt state of the art sound system declared an Independent State of Trance to about 300 outdoor party fiends.
